Media Release: Town of Huntsville Operations Update - March 29, 2025

(Huntsville, ON) A Special Weather Statement issued by Environment Canada is in effect for the Town of Huntsville, forecasting freezing rain Sunday, March 30, 2025 with the possibility of Freezing Rain Warnings being issued as the weather system gets closer.

Over the past 24 hours, Huntsville received a mix of snow and ice, with ice buildup on some area roads and sidewalks. Public Works crews continue to perform winter maintenance operations on all roads and sidewalks and will monitor conditions as the weather systems moves through the area.

The District of Muskoka has declared a Significant Weather Event effective March 29, 2025 which pertains to all District roads. Residents and visitors are asked to use caution and avoid non-essential travel.

The Town of Huntsville will continue to provide updates as needed throughout the weekend. Residents are advised to monitor local news and weather channels for updates.
