Media Release: Town of Huntsville Operations Update - March 30, 2025

(Huntsville, ON) A Freezing Rain Warning by Environment Canada is in effect for the Town of Huntsville on March 30, forecasting a prolonged period of freezing rain, with ice buildup of 5 to 15 mm throughout the day until this evening.

Huntsville has received a mix of snow and ice overnight, with significant ice buildup on area roads and sidewalks. Public Works crews have been performing winter maintenance operations on primary roads and sidewalks making their way to secondary routes. Residents and visitors are asked to avoid non-essential travel and monitor weather as well as local news channels for updates.

The Town of Huntsville is continuing to monitor conditions as the weather system moves through our area and would like to thank the community for their patience as our teams work safely to perform winter operations.

The District of Muskoka declared a Significant Weather Event effective March 29, 2025 which pertains to operations on all District roads.
