The Planning Department exists to administer the Planning Act, R.S.O 1990, c. p.13, and to facilitate the environmental, social and economic growth of Huntsville through sound community‐based planning policies.

The department aims to develop, implement and apply community-based planning policies to encourage responsible growth and development while identifying efficiencies and leading innovation to better serve our clients.
