There are various sponsorship, dedication, and donation programs available for community partners of all types to help support Town programs, services, projects, events, and facilities and honour loved ones.
General program sponsorships
This program provides the opportunity for community members and partners to sponsor various Town programs, services, activities, projects, and events.

Financial donations
Financial donations can be made online for the following programs:
- Algonquin Theatre general donations
- Aquatics program donations
- Fire station general donations
- Muskoka Heritage Place general or In Memoriam donations
Adopt an artifact
This program provides sponsorship of objects in the Muskoka Heritage Place artifact collection and provides a fun way to learn about items in the collection and an opportunity to safely handle the artifacts.
Exterior furniture sponsorship and dedication
This program provides opportunities for:
- Memorial dedications; and
- Sponsorships
A memorial dedication on exterior park furniture, such as benches and chairs, can be requested in memory of a loved one, or to honour a person, group, or special occasion. Memorial locations may include Town parks, parkland, and cemeteries.
The program also provides the opportunity to sponsor furniture located on Main Street and King William Street.
A dedication or sponsorship will include:
- Choice of bench or chair
- Brass plaque with choice of message
- 10 year term (additional 10 year term may be available)
- New furniture installation will be purchased and installed by the Town, and the Town will be responsible for the maintenance of the furniture.
- Plaque replacement for either vandalism or general defect will be replaced by the Town up to 2 times during the term of the dedication.
- Donation receipt for income tax purposes (for dedications only).
How to dedicate or sponsor exterior furniture
- Complete an External Furniture Sponsorship and Dedication form
- Applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis.
- Staff will contact you with any questions and to process payment.

Interior seat dedication
This program provides the opportunity to dedicate a seat to a loved one, recognize a family member or friend, support a team, or celebrate an occasion.
Dedicate in one of three facilities:
- Jack Bionda arena
- Don Lough arena
- Algonquin Theatre
A dedication will include:
- Choice of arena or theatre
- Choice of seat
- Inscription plaque with choice of message
- A minimum of 10 years of dedication (based on the lifespan of the seat)
- Funds collected will go into reserves for future capital replacements for the Algonquin Theatre or sports memorabilia
How to dedicate an interior seat
- Complete a seat dedication request form and pay the fee (noted on the form).
- Dedications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability.
- Staff will contact you.

Naming Town assets
This program provides opportunities for community partners to:
- Purchase naming rights for various Town assets; and
- Commemoratively name various Town assets
Purchase naming rights
This is also called Sponsorship naming. Not all Town assets are available for sponsorship naming - see Appendix E of the Sponsorship & Dedication policy for a listing of Town assets available for this type of naming. Sponsorship naming is unique to the asset being named and pricing will depend on a number of factors which will be determined on a case by case basis.
If you would like to purchase naming rights for an available Town asset, please contact the Manager of Facility Operations, Sales & Customer Service.
Commemorative naming
This is to recognize, on an exceptional basis, significant contributions that individuals or organizations have made to public life and the well-being of the people of Huntsville. At least one of the commemorative naming criteria must be met in order to be considered.
How to apply for commemorative naming:
- Complete a commemorative naming application form and submit to the Town’s Director of Corporate & Community Strategy.
- Applications are reviewed by the Commemorative Naming Working Group on a first come, first served basis.
- If the application meets the minimum criteria, as determined by the Commemorative Naming Working
- Group, public consultation will be completed for a minimum of 30 calendar days.
- Once the consultation is completed, the Commemorative Naming Working Group recommends either approval or rejection of the application to Council.
- Council will approve or reject the application.
- Staff will contact you with the result of the application.
