News Notice: Province and District Announce $50 Million Investment for Water and Wastewater Infrastructure for New Homes in Huntsville
(Huntsville, ON) The Town of Huntsville has identified housing as a high-priority community need in their Strategic Plan and is further investigating what it, as a municipality, can do towards ensuring much needed housing is built within our community.
UPDATE: Essential maintenance work on Main Street has been completed, and regular activity has resumed. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
This month, Council heard on key issues including 2025/2026 Budget Guidelines, Composition of Municipal Council - Pairing of Huntsville and Chaffey Wards, Development Charges, Vandalism in the Community.
UPDATE: Regular tree pruning has been completed, and the gates at Lions Lookout is now open.
Residents are advised that the Town will be conducting reconstruction work on the asphalt walkway along the southeast side of Howland Drive, from Centre Street North to 50 Howland Dr.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Huntsville proposes to enact a by-law pursuant to Sections 9 and 35 of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, and amendments thereto, to stop up and close that portion of the Original Road Allowance between Lots 30 & 31, Concession 2 and part of the Original Shore Road Allowance in front of Lot 31, Concession 2, geographic Township of Brunel, Town of Huntsville, District Municipality of Muskoka, and for the conveyance of Parts 2 & 3 on Reference Plan 35R-27550.
